Responsibilities
- Lead the growth and management of a skilled team of DevOps and database professionals, including recruitment, performance evaluation, mentorship, and career progression planning.
- Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for DevOps and database administration that supports overall product and platform objectives.
- Design, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions to enable automated build, testing, deployment, and rollback processes for all SaaS offerings.
- Manage SQL Server environments across production and non-production systems, ensuring performance, indexing efficiency, capacity planning, patching schedules, backup integrity, recovery objectives, and high-availability configurations.
- Respond to infrastructure and database incidents, including participation in on-call rotations, conducting post-mortems, and implementing preventive measures.
- Collaborate with security teams to integrate security into development workflows, including secret management, vulnerability detection, dependency updates, and compliance with SOC 2 and related standards.
- Work with senior cloud engineers and leadership to monitor and optimize cloud spending in Azure, ensuring efficient resource use and providing cost reporting to executives.
- Maintain accurate operational records, enforce change control processes, and ensure readiness for audits and compliance reviews.
- Coordinate with architecture, engineering, product, and client services teams to align release planning, capacity needs, and platform enhancements with business goals.
- Advance automation, monitoring, and self-service tools to minimize manual effort and increase deployment speed and system reliability.
Benefits
