You will play a key role in developing and refining software tools and verification environments for next-generation RISC-V processors used in artificial intelligence and machine learning applications. This internship provides direct involvement in simulation, emulation, and FPGA-based testing, allowing you to deepen your understanding of CPU architecture and hardware-software interaction.
What You'll Do
- Develop and optimize software scripts to accelerate CPU simulation and FPGA emulation performance
- Enhance Verilog and SystemVerilog components for efficient synthesis and testing
- Support and extend Git-based workflows to enable continuous integration and nightly regression testing across platforms
- Create automation tools to streamline design verification and development processes
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or SystemVerilog
- Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line tools
- Experience using version control systems, especially Git
- Curiosity about processor design, low-level hardware, or systems programming
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn complex technical workflows
Technology Environment
You'll work with C++, Python, SystemVerilog, Git, Linux, Verilog, RISC-V, and FPGA platforms, gaining practical exposure to CPU verification, simulation frameworks, and design automation pipelines. The role emphasizes CI/CD integration and scalable testing infrastructure.

Compensation & Work Environment
This is an on-site internship based in Santa Clara, CA, or Austin, TX, with no remote option. The hourly rate ranges from $50 to $70, inclusive of base and variable compensation.
