AECOM is hiring a Deputy Quality Lead

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and deployment of a comprehensive Quality Management System, including policies, procedures, and tools, aligned with FTA 15 Essential Elements
  • Conduct regular gap and SWOT analyses to detect risks and areas for quality enhancement
  • Perform internal and external design quality audits and oversight evaluations
  • Review and authorize staffing plans for construction and design quality roles, along with associated documentation
  • Assess and approve Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Support procurement processes by evaluating material quality submissions and payment requests
  • Supervise third-party quality personnel, their plans, and adherence to contract terms
  • Carry out audits of construction activities, suppliers, and processes to verify compliance with program requirements
  • Execute field audits and monitoring for both internal and external parties
  • Review submissions under the Buy America Build America Act and manage related sampling and compliance activities
  • Offer expert quality advice to program executives, project managers, CMAR teams, design joint ventures, and corporate oversight entities including Amtrak
  • Conduct site visits to suppliers, including steel fabricators, and join field 'Gemba' walks with construction and safety leads
  • Develop key performance indicators, monitor quality metrics, and generate monthly reports and dashboard updates
  • Manage investigations into quality issues and oversee resolution of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
  • Lead training sessions and workshops for internal teams, field staff, suppliers, and lab personnel
  • Monitor testing, materials, inspections, witnessing, and hold points; audit related records
  • Support revisions and updates to quality specifications
  • Train personnel on EMPP / InEight compliance software and work with IT to improve system capabilities
  • Document and disseminate lessons learned to promote ongoing program improvement
