Responsibilities
- Monitor federal procurement platforms such as SAM.gov and USASpending.gov daily to detect defense-related contracts and solicitations in testing domains including EMC, environmental, reliability, and wireless
- Identify upcoming defense program testing needs and notify the sales team of emerging opportunities prior to public release
- Investigate prime contractors, Tier 1 suppliers, and government program offices in the Mid-Atlantic region to inform account targeting strategies
- Keep an updated intelligence repository covering defense programs, key personnel, contract mechanisms, and procurement schedules to guide sales planning
- Track defense industry news, budget updates, and program shifts that could influence demand for testing services
- Assist the Business Development Manager and Sales Engineer with preparing quotes, coordinating proposals, and following up with clients
- Handle incoming inquiries from defense and aerospace clients by responding promptly and ensuring proper routing
- Ensure the CRM system contains current customer data, opportunity details, and records of all interactions
- Organize customer visits to the lab, including witness testing sessions, serving as the primary point of contact
- Follow up after proposal submissions and project completions to collect feedback and uncover follow-on opportunities
- Reconnect with inactive accounts using outbound calls and email campaigns as directed by the sales team
- Accurately and efficiently process new account setups, vendor onboarding, project intake, and RFQ documentation
- Facilitate collaboration between sales, project coordination, and laboratory operations teams
- Help prepare materials for customer presentations, trade shows, and industry events
- Provide administrative assistance to the regional sales and operations team as required
