Responsibilities
- Evaluate deal submissions from EMEA account executives and customer success managers to confirm alignment with pricing guidelines, discount frameworks, and approval limits, approving routine deals and forwarding exceptions for higher-level review
- Assist in structuring multi-year, multi-product deals by developing financial models for annual recurring revenue, total contract value, and per-unit pricing under supervision
- Identify potential commercial risks in proposed deal terms and escalate them to senior staff or management for assessment
- Assess requests for policy exceptions, collect relevant background from sales teams, and prepare well-documented packages for leadership review
- Ensure Salesforce records reflect accurate pricing, opportunity details, and approval histories to maintain data integrity
- Use DealHub (CPQ) to verify deal setups, detect configuration errors, and report technical issues during the approval process
- Highlight deal designs that could complicate revenue recognition, referring them for expert evaluation
- Help keep deal desk playbooks, base pricing references, and discount rules current and accessible
- Serve as the initial contact for standard commercial questions from EMEA sales teams, providing timely responses and escalating complex matters
- Collaborate with Finance and Legal teams on common deal-related inquiries, forwarding unusual terms or booking concerns to senior personnel
- Deliver clear explanations for approval decisions, emphasizing rationale and consistency to build trust with sales teams
- Handle incoming deal desk cases from EMEA, managing requests via shared channels, tracking progress, and meeting service level targets
- Maintain accurate deal logs, meet performance benchmarks, and share insights on approval trends with management
- Report frequent exceptions to leadership to help identify potential weaknesses in current approval protocols
- Support the rollout of updated commercial policies by updating documentation and assisting in training sessions for field teams
