Responsibilities
- Enhancing efficiency of database systems by tuning queries, indexes, and resource utilization for CPU, memory, and disk.
- Rapid resolution of performance bottlenecks impacting critical business services.
- Reviewing and refining stored procedures, database functions, and triggers for optimal execution.
- Identifying root causes of performance degradation and implementing corrective measures.
- Performing regular database management including SQL Server deployment, security configuration, backup execution, recovery procedures, monitoring, and data consistency validation.
- Streamlining administrative workflows across multiple SQL Server environments.
- Setting up and managing replication methods such as transactional, snapshot, and merge; utilizing Always On and Log Shipping technologies.
- Coordinating with backend, DevOps, and infrastructure teams on joint initiatives and system integrations.
- Applying system updates and patches to production environments, primarily through automated processes with occasional manual intervention.
- Supporting internal teams with data extraction and query assistance.
- Contributing to the planning of data architecture strategies and scalability models.
