Lead the evolution of modern data platforms by designing and implementing enterprise-grade solutions on the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. In this role, you'll combine technical depth with strategic insight to help organizations transform their data capabilities, from architecture design to real-world deployment.
What You’ll Do
- Design and deploy scalable data architectures using Medallion patterns, streaming pipelines, and ACID-compliant models tailored to client needs.
- Drive pre-sales initiatives by evaluating existing environments, identifying technical challenges, and delivering clear comparisons of platform options with actionable ROI insights.
- Engage directly with executive stakeholders to align data strategies with business goals, advising on platform modernization and long-term scalability.
- Act as the technical authority during delivery, ensuring solutions remain aligned with original objectives and serving as the escalation point for complex issues.
- Work alongside engineering, analytics, AI, and integration teams to promote data accessibility and consistent best practices.
- Coach and guide technical teams through design discussions, code reviews, and implementation decisions—without formal management duties.
- Stay ahead of emerging features such as Lakehouse Monitoring, Delta Sharing, Mosaic AI, and Lake Designer to ensure clients leverage the latest capabilities.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 7 years in data engineering, solution architecture, or a closely related technical field.
- Proven experience implementing solutions on Databricks and cloud-based data platforms.
- Track record of leading technical discovery sessions, delivering product demonstrations, and shaping proposals during pre-sales cycles.
- Solid understanding of enterprise data governance, architectural frameworks, and large-scale system design.
- Experience migrating workloads from platforms like Snowflake, Informatica, or on-premises data warehouses to modern cloud environments.
- Ability to objectively assess competing technologies and deliver cost-benefit analyses that inform client decisions.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a transparent, collaborative, and adaptable mindset—essential for client-facing success.
- Excellent communication abilities, capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
