Responsibilities
- Direct the organization's data security, privacy, and governance efforts throughout the enterprise.
- Create and improve governance frameworks for data ownership, classification, lifecycle management, and protection.
- Formulate policies, standards, and procedures for data governance, privacy, and information protection.
- Guarantee adherence to regulatory requirements, privacy laws, and applicable industry standards.
- Identify, evaluate, and reduce data-related risks within the organization.
- Execute privacy and compliance programs such as Privacy by Design, Data Protection Impact Assessments, risk evaluations, and control audits.
- Convert regulatory and legal mandates into practical governance processes and operational controls.
- Manage third-party and vendor data governance needs, including due diligence and compliance verification.
- Implement and oversee the organization's Data Governance Management System for ANZ operations.
- Drive enhancements in data quality, integrity, lifecycle management, and governance maturity.
- Deliver training, awareness, and educational initiatives to strengthen governance capabilities across the business.
- Offer strategic guidance and reporting to senior leadership on governance maturity, compliance, and enterprise data risk.
