Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to define and implement effective security controls, scanning, remediation, and system hardening strategies.
- Proactively detect and assess security vulnerabilities, threats, and exposures across servers, applications, and databases.
- Apply advanced security testing methods including vulnerability scanning, system audits, and penetration testing.
- Identify ongoing risks stemming from outdated systems or misconfigurations that may leave environments exposed.
- Evaluate emerging security technologies and solutions to support industry-leading protection measures.
- Provide security guidance during IT project execution and server deployment lifecycles.
- Work alongside information security leadership to shape risk mitigation strategies and enforce security standards.
- Generate and report security metrics for use in performance dashboards and executive-level reviews.
- Ensure data and system security practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Offer expert judgment on acceptable levels of risk in alignment with business objectives.
- Promote a culture of security awareness and ensure protective measures remain a priority.
- Take on additional security-related tasks as needed.
