T-Systems Iberia is seeking a Data Scientist to build and maintain a robust web crawling pipeline. You will gather critical data on competitor activities to directly inform Telekom's strategic fiber rollout plan in Germany.
What You'll Do
- Adapt standard crawler scripts to the individual page layout of each web source that needs to be analyzed.
- Collect crawling results, transfer them to the database, and establish a report system to visualize changes.
- Automate the crawling process by establishing a Git pipeline to update scripts in an AWS-cloud environment.
- Develop new approaches to intelligently screen the German competitor market, understand market strategies, and provide transparency to stakeholders.
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in Python programming
- Hands-on experience with Selenium or similar web scraping tools
- Strong SQL and database management skills
- Experience with Git and version control systems
- Demonstrated experience with AWS cloud services
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., GitLab CI)
