Junior Data Analyst Geomarketing (m/f/d)
Role Summary
NIQ Geomarketing provides globally consistent, granular regional data such as purchasing power and socio-demographic indicators.
As a (Junior) Data Analyst Geomarketing, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our data products by preparing, analysing, modelling, and validating large-scale datasets. You will actively contribute to the continuous evolution of our data portfolio and the integration of modern technologies, including AI, into our production processes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, process, and validate large datasets for regional market data products
Perform statistical analyses and modelling (primarily using R)
Calculate and maintain purchasing power and socio-demographic indicators
Ensure high data quality through systematic validation and quality checks
Research, evaluate, and integrate new international data sources
Maintain and document the research database, including data quality standards and usage rights
Contribute to the optimization and automation of internal workflows and data processes
Support the integration of AI-driven approaches into data production
Your Profile
University degree in Geography, Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field (focus on data analysis preferred)
Strong interest in spatial data, location intelligence, and economic data
Solid understanding of statistics, data analysis, and emerging AI applications
Experience with R (required); willingness to further develop geospatial data processing skills
Familiarity with GIS / spatial data tools (e.g. QGIS) is a plus
Familiarity with Python is a plus
High affinity for data and numbers combined with strong analytical thinking
Structured, detail-oriented, and independent working style
Strong team player with the ability to collaborate in international and virtual environments
Very good English skills (B2–C1); additional languages are an advantage
