LMI Government Consulting is hiring a Data Governance Analyst - TS/SCI with Polygraph Required

Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert to build a full data governance strategy and execution plan for a government headquarters.
  • Analyze potential risks to data and recommend strategies to reduce exposure.
  • Catalog all organizational data assets into a centralized inventory.
  • Evaluate current data quality and pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.
  • Build a customized data governance framework that supports organizational goals and culture.
  • Clarify data management roles and assign accountability across teams.
  • Outline the complete data lifecycle, from creation to archiving or deletion.
  • Establish procedures for data retention and secure disposal.
  • Review existing data security controls and suggest improvements.
  • Formulate a plan to safeguard sensitive and classified information.
  • Ensure data practices comply with industry standards and regulatory mandates.
  • Design training initiatives to teach staff about data governance principles.
  • Promote awareness of effective data management across the organization.
  • Create a change management approach to support adoption of new data policies.
  • Identify and address cultural or structural obstacles to governance initiatives.
  • Set up a formal review and approval process for governance frameworks and policies.
  • Integrate input from stakeholders into governance design and updates.
  • Develop a step-by-step implementation plan for governance activities.
  • Rank initiatives by impact and practicality to guide rollout priorities.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of governance policies, roles, and processes.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to prepare client teams for independent governance management.
  • Build a continuous improvement model to update the governance framework over time.
  • Set up channels for sustained collaboration and support.
  • Evaluate legal and ethical considerations in data handling practices.
  • Ensure the governance model reflects organizational values and legal responsibilities.

Compensation

Target Salary Range: $130,000-$160,000
