GFT Technologies SE is looking for a Data Engineer to join our team. In this remote position, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable data pipelines on AWS, building a modern layered data architecture, and ensuring performance, security, and governance.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop robust, scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines on AWS.
- Build and maintain a modern layered data architecture to support analytical consumption.
- Integrate transactional environments and diverse corporate data sources into the cloud data architecture.
- Apply multidimensional Star Schema / Snowflake modeling to support Analytics and BI.
- Ensure performance and scalability through strategic partitioning, parallelism, and processing optimization.
- Develop and optimize data transformation and processing routines with a focus on efficiency and reliability.
- Automate processes emphasizing reusability, monitoring, and quality.
- Work with governance, traceability, and requirements for security, auditing, and compliance.
- Support the evolution of the cloud data architecture, ensuring engineering best practices and operational sustainability.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in an AWS environment working with Analytics, BI, and Data Engineering.
- Solid experience with corporate data architecture on AWS.
- Strong background in Business Intelligence and multidimensional modeling.
- Experience with AWS data services like S3, Glue, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, Step Functions, and Secrets Manager.
- Experience with analytical solutions such as Redshift and Athena.
- Proficiency in Python and data processing frameworks.
- Experience with orchestration and distributed processing in a cloud environment.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD applied to data pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud security, observability, and access management best practices.
- Experience in projects with security, auditing, and compliance requirements.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of data governance and observability solutions.
- Experience with EMR, Lake Formation, and event-driven architecture.
- AWS certifications, such as Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, Developer Associate, or data specializations.
