Responsibilities
- Construct and manage parts of a modern data ingestion and activation system, including source integrations, staging layers, transformation sequences, change detection, and bulk API connections.
- Enhance data pipeline stability, monitoring, and fault recovery using metrics, dashboards, alerts, retry mechanisms, and resilient workflow execution.
- Create and support data processing pipelines in Snowflake to boost timeliness, accuracy, and scalability for analytical features and customer data outputs.
- Support schema development, data validation rules, and operational practices that minimize inconsistencies and simplify system maintenance and expansion.
- Work with data science and machine learning teams to strengthen the underlying data infrastructure for feature creation, model input pipelines, and experimentation systems.
- Evaluate and balance tradeoffs between batch and real-time processing, data modeling approaches, performance, and long-term maintainability as systems grow.
- Coordinate with product, frontend, platform, SRE, and customer-facing teams to define interfaces, troubleshoot problems, and deliver robust end-to-end solutions.
- Suggest enhancements to current workflows and assess available resources to resolve unexpected challenges effectively.
- Develop foresight to identify minor obstacles and apply knowledge of business processes to navigate them efficiently.
