Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines using Google Cloud technologies
- Develop and maintain scalable data storage solutions
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems
- Collaborate with analytics teams to understand data needs
- Optimize data workflows for performance and cost efficiency
- Support data governance and compliance standards
- Monitor data pipeline health and troubleshoot issues
- Integrate data from multiple sources into centralized repositories
- Write clean, maintainable code for ETL processes
- Work with large-scale datasets in distributed environments
- Implement data validation and quality checks
- Document data models and pipeline architectures
- Contribute to cloud security and access controls
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
- Support migration of on-premise data systems to cloud
- Use Infrastructure as Code for deployment automation
- Apply best practices in data engineering and cloud architecture
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data requirements
- Stay current with GCP data service updates and features
- Assist in defining data strategy and long-term roadmap
Nice to Have
- Certification in Google Cloud data engineering
- Hands-on experience with Dataflow and Pub/Sub
- Knowledge of machine learning data pipelines
- Experience with Terraform or similar IaC tools
