Responsibilities
- Design and refine BigQuery structures including datasets, views, and queries using partitioning, clustering, and materialized views to balance performance and cost efficiency.
- Create and oversee data integration workflows into BigQuery using services like Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, Dataproc, or third-party tools, with built-in monitoring and error resolution.
- Structure data for analytical use based on dimensional modeling or data vault methodologies, while implementing data quality validation, lineage tracking, and comprehensive documentation.
- Work closely with business and IT teams to convert business needs into technical designs, execute changes, and assist in testing and deployment processes.
- Maintain system reliability and data security through proper access controls, IAM configurations, service account management, audit trails, and proactive incident resolution.
