Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business partners and technical teams to grasp requirements that shape data solution designs.
- Build, test, deploy, and support data systems while adhering to timelines and budgets.
- Engage in designing components and interfaces, planning technology adoption, assessing tools, testing strategies, and advising on build-or-buy decisions.
- Contribute to project planning within areas of responsibility.
- Maintain data accuracy, availability, and regulatory compliance through cleansing and validation processes.
- Deliver consistent, synchronized, and trustworthy data while enabling meaningful user access.
- Create logical and physical data models, define data sourcing, transformation, and aggregation rules, and build semantic layers for analytics needs.
- Manage data catalogs and metadata to empower self-service data access across roles.
- Conduct root cause investigations for data system issues and implement corrective measures.
- Understand data movement methods and technologies across systems and business operations.
- Spot opportunities to minimize data duplication, boost efficiency, and increase business impact by tracking data usage trends.
- Design and implement data integration, transformation, and analytical frameworks that deliver clear, usable information to internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with data source owners to determine optimal data sourcing strategies aligned with analytics goals, infrastructure, and security needs.
- Work with analysts, data scientists, and visualization experts to define and build data access layers and transformation logic using technologies like RDBMS, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and columnar databases.
- Keep metadata, data catalogs, and lineage records up to date.
- Coordinate with engineering and analytics teams to uncover actionable and strategic insights from data.
- Partner with business users, vendors, and delivery units to shape analytics and reporting solutions based on business needs.
- Demonstrate creativity and team leadership with a focus on delivering impactful results.
