Responsibilities
- Design and manage scalable data processing pipelines using Google Cloud Platform ETL tools such as Cloud Dataflow, Dataprep, and Dataproc
- Work with teams across departments to define data needs and deliver solutions using cloud services to enable data-centric projects
- Enhance data models and system architecture for efficiency and stability within the cloud environment
- Create and oversee data warehouses, data lakes, and other storage systems hosted on Google Cloud Platform
- Maintain high standards of data accuracy, consistency, and protection across multiple datasets in the cloud
- Detect and fix performance issues in data systems, particularly those involving GCP-based ETL workflows
- Partner with data scientists, analysts, and business units to fulfill their data access and structure requirements
- Keep current with emerging GCP capabilities and advancements in data engineering to apply proven methods
