About the Role: Under the Lead of Data Center Services, the Data Center Technician will provide physical support and remote-hand services to customers. *** This is a Contractor position with a 100% Onsite requirement*** What You'll Do: Data Center Infrastructure & Cabling: 30% - Support daily data center operations and execute various projects - Analyze and consult customer IT infrastructure hardware - Perform infrastructure walkthrough with customers - Manage structured cabling infrastructure projects - Elicit data center infrastructure requirements - Install, terminate, test, and label cross-connects - Perform preventative maintenance and repairs - Troubleshoot physical issues - Create various cable types - Install/move equipment as required Compute/Network/Storage Support: 30% - Identify and report problematic devices - Replace defective parts - Visually inspect equipment - Perform infrastructure readiness tests - Configure out-of-band management interfaces - Test remote system accessibility - Monitor server and network equipment maintenance - Upgrade internal system components - Maintain service documentation Asset Management: 20% - Plan and unpack received items - Conduct power tests on incoming products - Digitally scan documentation - Input device locations into databases - Record product details - Conduct inventory control - Identify and manage spare parts Other Responsibilities: 20% - Maintain high customer satisfaction - Review work orders - Participate in service transitions - Develop system documentation - Manage shipping/loading dock - Fulfill ticketing system requirements - Escort vendors - Perform crisis management - Communicate per service level agreements - Conduct root cause analysis - Follow company best practices - Mentor junior technicians - Perform additional assigned duties Qualifications: - 1-3 years technical/data center support experience - High School diploma/GED - CompTIA, A+, BICSI certifications preferred - OSI model understanding - Excellent English communication - Microsoft Office proficiency - Strong attention to detail - On-call rotation participation Estimated Pay Range: $25 - $30 USD Perks: - Comprehensive medical, dental, vision plans - 401(k) with employer match - Competitive compensation - Training programs - Stocked office locations - Collaborative culture - Work-life balance Our Commitment: We are a diverse, talented group dedicated to leadership, character, and passion.
