Aumovio is hiring a Data and Cloud Architect (m/f/d)

We're building 1ADP - the One AUMOVIO Data Platform: a self-service, enterprise-grade cloud data platform that transforms raw data from across the organization into trusted, reusable data products. Built with Databricks and AWS, 1ADP serves data engineers, data scientists, analysts, and business users across AUMOVIO's domains - from Production and Supply Chain to Finance and beyond. As a Data and Cloud Architect, you will be a key technical authority within the A IT DCA DP platform team. You will shape the architecture of 1ADP, drive technical decisions - and ensure the platform scales securely to meet growing enterprise demand. You'll work across cloud infrastructure, data engineering patterns, governance frameworks, and developer-facing self-service tooling. What You'll Work On: - Platform Architecture — Design and evolve 1ADP across Databricks workspaces, Unity Catalog, and AWS infrastructure. Define Medallion architecture (Bronze → Silver → Gold) standards and lead design of new capabilities such as the Data Marketplace, Data Product Framework, and AI/ML infrastructure. - Cloud Infrastructure & GitOps — Own AWS CDK deployment stacks and guide the Terragrunt / Terraform provisioning model. - Data Governance & Security — Architect federated governance with centralized compliance rules. Design security and access control patterns. - Data Mesh & Data Products — Translate the Data Mesh vision into platform capabilities. Support domain teams in building and publishing data products. - Integrations & AI/ML — Design and Shape AI/ML infrastructure including AI Agents (AgentBricks), MLFlow, AI Gateway, and LLM-powered features. Developer Enablement — Define architectural standards and reusable templates, mentor engineers, and keep platform documentation accurate and accessible What Makes This Role Unique - Platform impact at scale — your architectural decisions will affect every data team across AUMOVIO. - End-to-end ownership — from Terraform module design to Unity Catalog governance to the developer portal, you'll have a hand in all layers. - Data Mesh at enterprise scale — help AUMOVIO move from centralized IT bottlenecks to a domain-driven, self-service data culture. - Modern, evolving tech stack — Databricks, Delta Lake, AI/ML on AWS.
