Responsibilities
- Examine ingested and system-generated data for irregularities and missing information, and assist in identifying their origins.
- Assist in creating and executing quality assurance checks, generating reports, and automating tasks using Python and SQL.
- Support data analysts with daily client data inquiries and maintaining dashboards.
- Help integrate new data sources by connecting carrier and market data into the system, with team guidance.
- Document your work and findings to ensure the team can depend on and reuse them.
Requirements
- Currently in the final year or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field.
- Practical knowledge of Python and SQL, with the ability to write queries and scripts, and a desire to improve quickly.
- Willingness to learn rather than claiming to know everything; the internship values curiosity and effort in understanding the domain, product, data, and customers.
- Naturally curious: when data surprises you, investigate the reason; ask insightful questions early and treat every gap as an opportunity to learn.
- Take ownership of your output, including when using AI tools; read and verify what they produce, and be able to explain your work without relying on AI.
- Attention to detail: notice when a number appears incorrect before others do.
- Empathy and a sense of urgency: recognize that clean data is critical for customers and act promptly on daily tasks.
- Fluent in written and spoken English, and comfortable working in a diverse, fully remote team.
Nice to Have
- Previous internship experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst, ideally in a product-focused, lean startup environment, especially in logistics, ecommerce, or B2B SaaS with heavy data usage.
