Responsibilities

Create technically precise, customer-oriented responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, proposals, clarifications, and other procurement documents for FOLIO and associated EBSCO SaaS products.
Assess customer requirements to determine response needs, identify potential gaps, formulate clarification questions, and pinpoint areas requiring input from subject matter experts.
Investigate FOLIO capabilities, library workflows, integrations, implementation strategies, and related EBSCO solutions to produce thorough and accurate proposal responses.
Manage proposal projects from initial review to submission, including requirements analysis, task assignments, timelines, stakeholder follow-ups, document preparation, and final quality checks.
Work with Sales, Product Management, Implementation, Technical Support, Information Security, Legal, and other subject matter experts to address complex functional and technical requirements.
Convert technical product details and library systems concepts into clear, concise language that emphasizes customer needs, workflows, and outcomes.
Maintain reusable FOLIO and library systems content in the RFP response repository by adding new information and updating existing responses as products and capabilities evolve.
Review proposal content for accuracy, consistency, completeness, compliance, grammar, and overall response quality.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in a sales or similar corporate environment with a proven track record of effective communication and/or writing.
At least 2 years of professional writing, research, project coordination, proposal development, or comparable experience that involves interpreting and communicating detailed information.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or deadlines while coordinating information and deliverables across various stakeholders.

Nice to Have

Master of Library Science, Master of Library and Information Science, or an equivalent graduate library degree.
Experience implementing or migrating to an integrated library system or library services platform.
Experience as a systems librarian, technical services librarian, electronic resources librarian, implementation librarian, or in a similar library technology role.
Experience responding to RFPs, RFIs, technical questionnaires, procurement documents, or other formal customer requirements.

Work Arrangement

Remote position; candidates living within a 30-mile radius of Ipswich, MA; Birmingham, AL; or Contoocook, NH are required to be on-site one day per week designated by their team; otherwise fully remote.
