About the Role
You will act as the on-site representative of the Project Manager, taking full ownership of all CSA-related activities from day one through project completion. This is a hands-on role requiring close oversight of planning, trade coordination, and execution to ensure nothing is overlooked.
Responsibilities
- Act as the on-site lead for CSA activities, representing the Project Manager from project initiation to handover
- Assist in developing the construction schedule and short-term planning cycles
- Establish site setup including logistics, site layout, and safety protocols from the outset
- Evaluate technical drawings, method statements, and risk assessments, providing feedback where necessary
- Align early with project controls on change management procedures to prevent future issues
- Support the definition of quality benchmarks and installation standards
- Ensure consistent daily productivity across all CSA workstreams
- Develop and manage short-term construction schedules in line with the master programme
- Lead subcontractor meetings and enforce accountability for deliverables
- Monitor and document variations in coordination with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor
- Ensure labour resources are present, punctual, and actively working as scheduled
- Keep a comprehensive site diary to record events, decisions, and actions
- Collaborate closely with mechanical and electrical teams to maintain integrated workflows
- Coordinate between different trades and supervisory staff to prevent conflicts and delays
- Serve as the primary escalation point, taking ownership of issues and driving resolutions
- Communicate regularly with clients and subcontractors to maintain progress across work fronts
- Champion HSEQ standards through daily presence, inductions, and toolbox talks
- Enforce compliance with safe work procedures, permits, and approved methods
- Conduct daily site inspections using a proactive 'don’t walk by' approach
- Maintain accurate records of checks, inspections, and compliance logs
- Organize timely delivery and handling of materials and equipment
- Oversee testing, inspections, and snagging in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans
- Promote a culture of zero defects and thorough completion
- Verify, document, and approve all client-supplied equipment
- Confirm all systems are fully installed, tested, and formally certified

Work Arrangement

Project Start-Up
- Assist in creating the construction schedule and short-term planning outlooks
- Establish site infrastructure, logistics, and safety measures from day one
- Review design drawings, method statements, and risk assessments, challenging where needed
- Establish early alignment on change control processes to avoid surprises
- Help define quality benchmarks and standard installation practices
Live Project Delivery
- Drive daily productivity across all CSA tasks
- Develop and manage short-term work plans aligned with the master schedule
- Lead regular site meetings with subcontractors and ensure follow-through
- Track project variations with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor to protect scope
- Ensure workforce is present, on time, and productively engaged
- Keep a detailed site diary—unrecorded events are considered undocumented
Coordination & Leadership
- Work directly with M&E teams to ensure integrated project delivery
- Coordinate between trades and supervisors to prevent clashes and downtime
- Act as the main escalation point, taking ownership of issues and solutions
- Engage with clients and subcontractors to keep work areas active and progressing
Safety (Non-negotiable)
- Lead by example in HSEQ: conduct toolbox talks, inductions, and maintain daily site presence
- Enforce adherence to safe work systems, permits, and approved methods
- Perform daily site walkdowns with a 'don’t walk by' attitude
- Keep inspection logs, checklists, and compliance records to the highest standard
Quality (Where projects are won or lost)
- Ensure proper coordination of material and equipment deliveries
- Manage inspections, snagging, and testing according to ITPs
- Foster a zero-snag culture as a standard, not an aspiration
- Verify, record, and approve all free-issue equipment
Close-Out (because finishing well matters)
- Ensure all systems are fully completed, tested, and certified
- Deliver accurate as-built drawings
- Support the orderly demobilisation of site resources
- Ensure all compliance documentation and site signage are in place
What You’ll Bring
