Responsibilities
- Act as the primary representative for the project manager and the company at major construction sites
- Oversee all on-site operations across diverse construction projects
- Lead site activities from initial setup through commissioning and final demobilisation
- Support the project manager in creating construction schedules, short-term planning reports, and logistics timelines
- Conduct site visits to establish and plan site setup requirements
- Collaborate with the project manager on change management processes
- Assist in validating project scope and deliverables
- Implement the site safety starter pack and contribute to health, safety, environment, and quality planning
- Establish site infrastructure and operational setup
- Prepare and review method statements and risk assessments with subcontractors
- Examine and approve construction drawings
- Support the standardisation of installation methods and quality control protocols
- Create daily action plans covering safety, productivity, and team management
- Help expedite delivery of key equipment in coordination with the project team
- Keep a detailed site activity log
- Attend and lead internal coordination meetings with subcontractors
- Ensure all project variations are documented and reviewed with the project manager and quantity surveyor
- Verify subcontractors complete required labour allocation documentation
- Develop short-term construction schedules aligned with the master programme
- Update and submit weekly progress on the master programme to the project manager
- Supervise subcontractors to maintain efficient workflow and output
- Ensure subcontractor teams are present and ready at designated work areas on schedule
- Coordinate with subcontractors to manage accessible work zones
- Communicate with the client to align building and services integration
- Collaborate with other site supervisors to coordinate mechanical, electrical, and CSA systems
