cryptodotnews, an independent media company dedicated to covering the markets, tech, businesses, and culture of the crypto industry, is hiring a Crypto News Reporter. You will join an expanding global team, responsible for delivering high-quality, insightful news and participating in editorial strategy.
What You'll Do
- Pitch and develop news story angles, working closely with editors and other reporters.
- Write news briefs in a timely manner.
- Participate in editorial meetings.
- Interview industry leaders and other sources.
- Help develop and implement editorial strategy.
- Attend and report on industry events.
- Be available for one of three specified UTC shifts covering EU, US, or Asia time zones.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 2 years of journalism or other writing experience.
- Deep familiarity with the crypto industry.
- A portfolio that includes crypto-related content (preferably links to published works).
- Proven attention to detail, research skills, and journalistic excellence.
- Ability to juggle multiple stories and deadlines.
Nice to Have
- A Degree in Journalism.
- Past experience reporting on the crypto industry.
