Requirements
- Relevant certifications or experience as a Critical Care Tech, CNA, or medical assistant
- Experience ideally in an acute care setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to empathetically interact with patients
- Effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to communicate observations and concerns to RNs and physicians
- Ability to perform technical tasks as directed by RN or physician according to established policies
- Commitment to person-centered care
- Ability to accurately and timely document all tasks and procedures
- Adherence to medical and legal standards in maintaining patient records

Additional Information
- Performs direct and indirect patient care in collaboration with an RN or Physician
- Facilitates, communicates, and collaborates with the healthcare team to meet physical and emotional needs of the patient
- Places orders, receives and stocks department supplies, and assists support staff with filing, medical records, and assigned daily tasks
- Communicates with RN and Physician regarding patient/family observations on an ongoing basis
- Communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors related to patients to the healthcare team
- Performs a variety of technical tasks (e.g., IV insertion, splinting, wound care) as directed by RN or physician according to clinic policies
- Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in collaboration with team members
- Assists the care team in achieving daily patient and family goals
- Accurately and timely documents all tasks, observations, and procedures performed on the patient record
- Maintains thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records
- Demonstrates effective use of clinical strategies to ensure patient and associate safety
- Collaborates with medicine, nursing, and other healthcare professionals regarding the plan of care
