Responsibilities
- Construct wooden containers, skids, and boxes using hand and power tools
- Interpret technical drawings and shipping requirements to determine appropriate crate dimensions and materials
- Measure, cut, assemble, and fasten wooden components and protective materials to secure products
- Use forklifts to load and unload freight and transport heavy equipment
- Transport finished crates to designated shipping or staging zones
- Keep shipping areas and storage spaces orderly and efficient
- Operate overhead cranes and pallet jacks when required
