Responsibilities
- Deliver court reporting support to the Western States Network Consortium
- Support program and project management functions using relevant education and hands-on experience
- Generate precise, time-efficient transcripts of witness testimony, properly organized and indexed
- Arrive on time and remain present during scheduled legal or administrative proceedings
- Maintain a professional and respectful attitude at all times
- Supply all required tools and materials necessary to fulfill reporting duties
- Read aloud sections of the transcript when directed by the presiding authority or board
- Respond to requests for clarification on unclear or indistinct spoken statements
- Administer oaths and affirmations as legally authorized
- Transcribe sworn depositions while acting in the capacity of a certified notary public
- Meet client-requested deadlines for transcript delivery, regardless of turnaround time
- Ensure all deliverables are complete, factually correct, properly recorded, and meet defined standards
- Uphold the highest level of integrity and ethical behavior in all professional activities
- Carry out responsibilities with competence and professionalism, meeting all established deadlines
