Responsibilities
- Prepare, assess, and negotiate agreements related to commercial real estate, including leases, subleases, occupancy licenses, lease modifications, and associated property documents across international regions.
- Review, draft, and negotiate diverse operational service contracts such as facility operations, construction projects, outsourced functions, financial transactions, advisory services, corporate protection, and other vendor arrangements.
- Serve as a legal advisor to executive teams on matters involving real estate, vendor contracts, and operational compliance, working closely with Workplace, Real Estate, Finance, Security, and Operations departments.
- Coordinate with internal teams across the organization, including Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Deal Management, Finance & Strategy, Tax, Security, and Third Party Risk, to streamline processes and improve collaboration.
- Design and deploy improved systems, workflows, training materials, and procedural guides to support high-volume contract management and stakeholder education.
- Ensure all commercial agreements adhere to relevant laws, data privacy standards, security requirements, global privacy rules, and external service policies.
- Analyze and assess legal and business risks tied to lease terms, landlord-tenant dynamics, and service provider arrangements, identifying practical risk mitigation strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Communicate complex legal and operational issues clearly to cross-functional teams and non-legal stakeholders.
- Balance multiple responsibilities and deadlines efficiently through strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Recognize potential legal or operational issues, formulate solutions, and guide teams on lease compliance, tenant rights, risk controls, regulatory adherence, and vendor oversight.
- Oversee relationships with external legal counsel globally and serve as the primary escalation point for legal matters handled by outside firms.
