AECOM is hiring a Cost Management – Civil Infrastructure Lead NZ

Responsibilities

  • Lead cost management services across major civil infrastructure projects, acting as Project Director or senior commercial lead.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight, ensuring high-quality outcomes across multidisciplinary projects.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor, identifying opportunities for repeat and new business.
  • Drive project delivery excellence, including commercial performance, risk management, and governance.
  • Lead and contribute to business development, including proposals, client presentations, and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Gain the opportunity to mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performing national team.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and growth initiatives for the Cost Management business.

Requirements

  • Senior level experience in cost management for civil infrastructure projects.
  • Proven ability to lead complex cost management services and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
  • Experience acting as Project Director or senior commercial lead on major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with a focus on being a trusted advisor.
  • Demonstrated leadership in project delivery, including commercial performance, risk management, and governance.
  • Experience in business development, including proposals, client presentations, and capture planning.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members within a national, multidisciplinary environment.

Nice to Have

  • Innovative thinking, including the use of AI and emerging technologies in cost management.
  • Experience shaping strategy and influencing future delivery models in cost management.
