Responsibilities
- Manage periodic inventory audits across all operational locations, ensuring prompt resolution of variances, with travel required to support sites needing additional guidance.
- Lead end-to-end inventory accounting operations, including developing and refining standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with site personnel, accounting teams, and centralized service units to analyze and resolve inventory count differences.
- Define and uphold standardized cost accounting methodologies throughout the organization.
- Work with multiple departments to ensure precise financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Direct the monthly financial close process, overseeing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure uniform application of accounting policies, controls, and procedures across all business units and legal entities.
- Advance process automation and standardization to increase close speed and financial data accuracy.
- Prepare and manage complex accounting entries and reconciliations involving deferred revenue, goodwill, intangible asset amortization, debt instruments, stock-based compensation, and other specialized transactions.
- Analyze and evaluate monthly financial performance for the corporate entity and operating regions.
- Support external audit coordination and ensure timely delivery of required documentation.
- Enhance internal control systems and assist in deploying SOX-aligned control measures where appropriate.
- Develop and roll out a scalable internal control structure to support audit preparedness, investor trust, and future regulatory compliance.
- Identify and correct control weaknesses related to asset misuse and valuation errors.
- Coach and develop staff in both operational and corporate accounting roles, promoting skill growth and high-performance standards.
- Foster a team environment rooted in cooperation, ongoing improvement, and accountability.
