About the Role
The position involves coordinating geological data collection and analysis to ensure accurate grade control in mining operations. The individual will work closely with technical teams to support resource modeling and operational decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Organize and verify geological data from drilling and sampling activities
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and documentation
- Support surveying and mapping efforts for mining areas
- Maintain databases for assay results and geological information
- Coordinate communication between field teams and technical departments
- Track and report on grade control samples and results
- Assist with reconciliation of actual versus estimated ore grades
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly grade summaries
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting systems
- Liaise with laboratory personnel for timely sample processing
- Participate in planning meetings for upcoming drilling programs
- Help implement quality assurance and quality control procedures
- Generate maps and visualizations using geological software
- Maintain records in compliance with regulatory standards
- Support audits and inspections by providing accurate documentation
- Assist in training new team members on data protocols
- Monitor data entry workflows for efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with geologists and engineers on interpretation tasks
- Identify discrepancies in data and initiate corrective actions
- Contribute to continuous improvement of grade control systems
