Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of flavor profiles and ingredient pairings
- Prepares meals using fresh ingredients rather than frozen or pre-packaged items
- Provides training and guidance to staff on job duties and required certifications
- Organizes and assigns daily tasks and work schedules
- Keeps accurate records of inventory levels and orders necessary supplies
- Utilizes net menu application for meal planning and tracking
- Follows IMS and HACCP procedures to ensure food safety
- Oversees both kitchen personnel and housekeeping staff
- Cooks and delivers meals, including boxed lunches, dinners, and snacks for crew members
- Typically begins workday at 8 a.m. to prepare midday and evening meals
- Adapts schedule as needed to accommodate early or late-arriving teams
- Is compensated hourly from the start of meal preparation until all meals are served
