What You'll Do
Lead the accounting function by ensuring reliable financial reporting and strong internal controls. Partner directly with executive leadership to deliver timely and accurate financial statements each month, both for internal use and external stakeholders.
Oversee the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring transactions are processed correctly and on schedule. This includes managing billing, credit, collections, and cash application processes.
Ensure the accuracy and organization of all financial records, maintaining data integrity across systems. Monitor transactional activity and corporate documentation to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
Manage key financial functions including budgeting, forecasting, fixed asset tracking, depreciation, cash flow oversight, and tax compliance. Work with external advisors to meet all federal, state, and local tax filing requirements efficiently and accurately.
Stay current with accounting standards, legal regulations, and company policies. Use in-depth knowledge of accounting software to strengthen controls, identify inefficiencies, and implement technology-driven improvements.
Lead audit coordination efforts and contribute to special projects that enhance financial operations. Generate detailed reports by gathering, interpreting, and summarizing financial data as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience enforcing financial policies, internal controls, and reporting frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate and timely financial reports
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing transactional data and records
- Experience overseeing accounts payable and receivable functions, including credit, billing, and cash application
- Up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in budget management, variance analysis, and financial data compilation
- Experience managing fixed assets and depreciation schedules
- Background in coordinating audits and verifying financial health
- Ability to manage cash resources effectively
- Familiarity with tax compliance processes and collaboration with tax professionals
- Advanced skills in accounting software systems to support control monitoring and automation initiatives
