About the Role
This role involves delivering personalized occupational therapy services in clients’ homes, focusing on improving functional independence through tailored interventions, assessments, and collaboration with clients, families, and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services in clients' homes
- Assess clients' functional abilities and limitations
- Develop customized treatment plans to enhance independence
- Collaborate with caregivers and family members
- Monitor client progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Document therapy sessions and client outcomes
- Recommend adaptive equipment and home modifications
- Support clients across various age groups with diverse conditions
- Promote safety and accessibility in home environments
- Coordinate with referring physicians and other providers
- Follow clinical best practices and ethical standards
- Maintain accurate and timely records
- Provide education to clients and families about therapy goals
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques
- Assist clients in achieving personal care and daily living goals
- Conduct initial and follow-up evaluations
- Use standardized assessment tools
- Address sensory, motor, and cognitive challenges
- Encourage client engagement in meaningful activities
- Adapt interventions based on client response
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in occupational therapy
- Experience with telehealth components
- Specialty training in neurological or developmental disorders
- Certification in driving rehabilitation
- Training in sensory integration techniques
- Experience using outcome measurement tools
- Background in mental health therapy
- Knowledge of assistive technology
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential
- Experience in pediatric home care
