Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for contract management with contractors and subcontractors.
- Manage contracts following contractual terms, internal policies, and public-sector governance standards.
- Verify that contractors meet their commitments regarding project scope, timeline, budget, quality, safety, and reporting.
- Keep detailed and up-to-date records of all contract-related communications, changes, notices, claims, and financial logs.
- Assist the Contract Claims Manager in evaluating, reviewing, and negotiating change orders, claims, time extensions, and compensable delays.
- Work with Program Controls and Risk Management to analyze the financial and scheduling effects of contract modifications.
- Engage in technical discussions with subject matter experts, cost estimators, and scheduling professionals.
- Track contractor performance relative to defined key performance indicators and commercial milestones.
- Support enforcement actions for contract breaches, including corrective measures and nonconformance resolution.
- Coordinate with design, construction, safety, and quality teams to align technical execution with commercial terms.
- Facilitate procurement activities to ensure timely release of contract amendments.
- Collaborate with finance and cost control teams to maintain alignment with budget allocations, accruals, and forecasts.
- Provide commercial support during negotiations that result in formal contract changes.
- Ensure proper handling of critical documentation to support audits, grant requirements, litigation, claims, and contract closure.
- Communicate with contractors and stakeholders as needed to obtain missing or clarifying information.
- Participate in assigned technical and commercial project working group meetings.
