Responsibilities
- Create & Publish Core Campaign Content: Develop and write foundational long-form content assets (e.g., technical blogs, white papers, guides), and take full ownership of uploading and formatting this content directly onto the UpGuard Website.
- Fuel Paid Media: Develop persuasive ad copy, landing page headlines, and banner content tailored specifically for Paid Search and Paid Social, working in close coordination with the Performance Marketing team.
- Drive Direct Communication: Write compelling, action-oriented copy for all Ad Hoc Marketing Emails and newsletters, and manage the end-to-end execution of building, testing, and sending these emails via HubSpot.
- Maximise Social Reach: Adapt and repurpose long-form content into engaging, succinct copy suitable for all Organic Social Media platforms, and directly manage the scheduling and publishing of these posts using Statusbrew.
- Arm the Revenue Team: Serve as the core content provider for Revenue Enablement, transforming product messaging and campaign themes into practical sales battle cards, email templates, and scripts.
- Maintain Voice & Tone: Ensure every piece of content—regardless of channel or format—adheres strictly to the defined UpGuard brand Voice and Tone and the specific personality of the campaign.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional copywriting or content creation experience, ideally within the B2B SaaS or Cybersecurity domain.
- Hands-on experience with content distribution platforms, specifically building/sending emails in HubSpot, managing social media via Statusbrew (or similar tools), and uploading content via website CMS.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an unwavering commitment to editorial quality, consistency, and accuracy.
- Proven ability to manage content creation and distribution for multiple campaign sequences simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaborative spirit, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams, including PMMs, Creative Leads, and the Revenue Enablement team.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical or risk management concepts into clear, engaging, and authoritative business value propositions.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) is the primary working language, with a base of operations in South Africa.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience supporting Public Relations or Analyst Relations efforts with high-stakes, market-facing written materials.
- Direct working knowledge of SEO best practices and the ability to weave keywords naturally into authoritative blog and website copy.
- Familiarity with using AI tools for content ideation, research summarisation, or maintaining content quality at scale.
