About the Role
The 4-9th Grade Science Teacher will prepare and deliver adaptable lesson plans, differentiate instruction, maintain student records, apply research-based teaching methods, manage behavior, foster a positive classroom culture, use inclusive curricula, uphold school norms, engage families, integrate technology, participate in school activities, collaborate with colleagues, and fulfill additional assigned duties.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement lesson plans with flexibility for adjustments throughout the academic year
- Adapt teaching strategies to support diverse student learning needs
- Keep thorough and up-to-date records of each student's academic progress and development
- Apply evidence-based instructional practices in daily planning and classroom delivery
- Maintain appropriate student behavior and classroom discipline
- Foster an inclusive and encouraging learning environment
- Use school-approved curricula that reflect students' varied cultural, linguistic, and educational backgrounds
- Enforce school-wide behavioral and cultural expectations
- Engage with families to discuss student academic and social-emotional progress
- Integrate technology into instruction to enhance student learning
- Support the organization of non-instructional school events as required
- Work collaboratively and communicate clearly with fellow educators
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by school administration

Compensation for this role ranges from $38,500 to $48,000, with adjustments based on location, qualifications, experience, and education.
