About the Role

The 4-9th Grade Math Teacher will prepare and adapt lesson plans, differentiate instruction, manage classroom behavior, and support student progress through research-based practices, technology integration, and collaboration with colleagues and families.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement lesson plans with flexibility to adjust throughout the academic year
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs for all students
  • Keep thorough and up-to-date records of student performance and development
  • Apply evidence-based instructional methods in daily planning and classroom delivery
  • Maintain appropriate student conduct and a structured learning environment
  • Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
  • Use approved curricula that reflect students’ varied cultural, linguistic, and educational backgrounds
  • Enforce school-wide behavioral and cultural standards consistently
  • Engage with families to discuss student academic and emotional progress
  • Integrate technology into instruction to enhance student learning
  • Support non-instructional school activities as required
  • Work collaboratively with fellow educators and staff
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by school leadership

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $38,500–$48,000. Starting pay may vary based on location, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications.

About You

  • Hold a valid Ohio state teaching license in the relevant subject area
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field
  • Thrive in a coaching-focused environment with regular feedback and performance tracking
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Handle confidential student information with discretion
  • Supervise students across various school settings, including playgrounds and cafeterias
  • Successfully complete federal and state criminal background checks
  • Have experience working in urban educational environments

Compensation: $38,500–$48,000, based on qualifications and market factors.
