Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve backend services that power the entire carpooling inventory across the platform
- Take end-to-end ownership of major features, from design and implementation to deployment and monitoring
- Lead technical work on core inventory functions such as validating and storing driver-submitted trips and routes
- Support internal search capabilities by delivering accurate ride results to the app and website
- Manage the full lifecycle of ride bookings, from request to confirmation
- Supply essential inventory data to all product interfaces that require it
- Improve and operate critical geo-routing systems, including route calculation using OSRM and Google Maps
- Maintain dynamic search features like Smart Stopovers through geospatial meeting-point services
- Partner with Product Managers and engineers to clarify requirements and build scalable technical solutions
- Champion code quality through rigorous reviews, mentorship, and adherence to best practices
- Create clear documentation for APIs and services to ensure usability across consuming teams
