Electrosoft is hiring a Configuration Management Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Provide configuration management support for enterprise systems, applications, infrastructure, and operational environments.
  • Create, sustain, and oversee configuration baselines to ensure consistency, integrity, and traceability across systems.
  • Oversee configuration items and ensure precise documentation in configuration management databases and repositories.
  • Assist change management by evaluating, recording, monitoring, and coordinating changes to system components.
  • Help develop and sustain Configuration Management Plans, policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Monitor software releases, patches, updates, and deployments to enforce version control and configuration compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records of hardware, software, licenses, and technology assets used in operations.
  • Support ongoing operations by ensuring configuration data remains up to date throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Work with system administrators, developers, engineers, cybersecurity staff, and project teams to enforce configuration control.
  • Conduct configuration audits to confirm adherence to approved baselines and organizational requirements.
  • Support incident, problem, and change processes with configuration analysis and documentation.
  • Produce and maintain configuration status reports and performance metrics for leadership and stakeholders.
  • Assist in release and deployment tasks to ensure smooth implementation of system updates.
  • Support security remediation by tracking configuration adjustments tied to vulnerability findings.
  • Preserve documentation in repositories, version control systems, and configuration records.
  • Identify risks in configuration management and suggest corrective measures to improve efficiency.
  • Support modernization of software and infrastructure while preserving configuration accuracy.
  • Participate in testing, validation, and readiness checks to confirm deployed solutions meet configuration standards.
  • Support compliance audits and assessments by supplying configuration documentation and artifacts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that strengthen configuration processes and service delivery.
