Responsibilities
- Leads daily operations of the COMSEC account team, maintaining accurate records for all cryptographic materials.
- Supports the distribution, disposal, and auditing of COMSEC assets.
- Prepares thorough documentation for the issuance and destruction of sensitive materials.
- Applies expertise in COMSEC principles, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with security standards.
- Resolves defined COMSEC-related issues that arise at the installation.
- Handles assigned tasks and addresses conflicts by interpreting security and COMSEC policy directives.
- Evaluates existing security systems through independent audits and suggests improvements based on established protocols.
- Analyzes and aligns security processes, policies, and regulations to balance operational needs with national and departmental requirements.
- Recommends updates to policies, implementation guidance, or local procedures as necessary.
- Conducts investigations into COMSEC incidents, prepares reports, notifies relevant authorities, and defines corrective actions.
- Performs additional duties as directed.

- Must possess an active DoD Top Secret security clearance at the time of employment.
- Must maintain a valid New Mexico driver’s license.
