Barbaricum is hiring a Computer Systems Analyst IT - I (Computer Systems Analyst)

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, sustain, and enhance computing systems, network frameworks, and IT setups that enable mission-critical and training functions.
  • Manage and provide technical support for Windows and Linux operating systems, servers, and large-scale applications across physical, virtual, and cloud platforms.
  • Oversee performance of systems and infrastructure, detect operational inefficiencies, and apply fixes to increase system stability and effectiveness.
  • Support virtualization platforms such as VMware, KVM, and Xen to ensure flexible and robust computing environments.
  • Assess system needs, configurations, and performance data to propose enhancements and assist modernization initiatives.
  • Help implement system rollouts, updates, patching procedures, and configuration control tasks.
  • Review security posture of systems and assist in identifying, addressing, and reducing vulnerabilities while supporting compliance efforts.
  • Create and update technical records, system schematics, configuration baselines, and operational guidelines.
  • Work with network, cybersecurity, and engineering units to integrate technologies and meet operational objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, cybersecurity protocols, and applicable Department of Defense standards.
