Barbaricum is hiring a Computer Systems Analyst - I (Computer Systems Analyst)

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, observe, and maintain computer systems, network setups, and IT environments that enable mission and training functions.
  • Help manage, set up, and sustain Windows and Linux operating systems along with related server platforms.
  • Provide support for physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructure by tracking system performance, uptime, and overall operational status.
  • Investigate system performance problems, determine underlying causes, and suggest solutions to enhance system dependability and efficiency.
  • Support virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM, and Xen through administration and issue resolution.
  • Assist with monitoring infrastructure, performing system updates, managing patches, and maintaining configuration controls.
  • Assess system security and contribute to reducing vulnerabilities in alignment with cybersecurity standards and protocols.
  • Create and keep current technical records, system schematics, configuration logs, and standard operating instructions.
  • Work with network, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to support infrastructure operations and integration of new technologies.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, cybersecurity mandates, and relevant Department of Defense standards.
