About the Role

This role is currently seeking a Computer Engineer I to work remotely within the United States. The opportunity presents an engaging position for an entry-level engineer to participate in critical technological initiatives supporting naval systems and cybersecurity programs. The role involves working with a dynamic team to design, develop, test, and maintain sophisticated software and hardware solutions for intricate shipboard systems, emphasizing high reliability and security standards. Accountabilities: · Deliver technical engineering support for naval shipboard systems, including propulsion, electrical infrastructure, machinery control, steering mechanisms, navigation, and network technologies. · Create, validate, maintain, and upgrade software and hardware solutions to improve cybersecurity and operational effectiveness. · Support modernization initiatives and acquisition programs. · Engage with subject matter experts and technical leadership to develop practical approaches for complex challenges. · Generate comprehensive documentation of engineering processes, technical protocols, and software modifications. · Facilitate continuous improvement in system performance and security compliance. Requirements: · Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics with Computer Science concentration. · Minimum one-year experience in software/hardware development, testing, or maintenance. · Possession of at least one professional certification like CCNA-Security, CySA+, Security+ CE, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP. · U.S. Citizenship with active government security clearance. · Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication capabilities. · Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in remote environments. · Demonstrated commitment to learning and adapting in rapid technological settings.
