Hims & Hers is looking for a Compounding Pharmacist (Donut Nights) to oversee all activities in our compounding laboratory. You'll ensure compliance, develop processes, and lead a team of technicians, reporting directly to the Head Compounding Pharmacist and Pharmacist-In-Charge.
What You'll Do
- Directly supervise all compounding personnel, including pharmacy technicians and support staff.
- Perform and accurately document compounding procedures, quality control checks, and dispensing.
- Verify formula records, compounding records, beyond-use dates, and finished products.
- Assist in training and evaluating compounding personnel.
- Coordinate equipment calibration, maintenance, and use for prescription orders.
- Follow all safety, USP, BOP, and internal guidelines for preparing compounded medications.
- Maintain a safety-first mindset, especially when working with hazardous chemicals per USP <800>.
- Perform pharmacist activities including patient consultation and error documentation.
- Coordinate with the Pharmacist-in-Charge on personnel, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and audits as part of our Continuous Quality Improvement program.
- Drive quality efforts by adhering to standard operating procedures.
- Follow all state and federal pharmacy regulations from the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy and FDA.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary work environment as mandated by FDA regulations.
- Complete pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technician workflow.
- Protect patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocols.
- Perform other assigned tasks including inventories, project work, record keeping, and auditing.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy.
- Active Pharmacist License in Arizona.
- Effective knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
- 5+ years of pharmacist experience, with at least 3 years in a compounding pharmacy.
- Non-sterile compounding experience.
- Strong math skills.
- Ability to undergo respirator fit testing (full beards may prevent a proper seal).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to work with small, delicate pieces of machinery to complete dosage forms.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with remote teams.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand and wear required compounding safety equipment for long periods.
- Flexibility to work various shift times.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Proficiency in Windows-based computer systems.
Nice to Have
- Mail Service or Mail Order pharmacy experience.
- Multi-state pharmacist licensure.
