About the Role
The Compliance & Risk Analyst is responsible for supporting regulatory compliance and enterprise risk management functions, including monitoring controls, assessing risk exposure, and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and internal policies within financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Identify, analyze, and report potential risks across operational functions
- Support audits and examinations by providing accurate documentation and findings
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes affecting financial services
- Collaborate with departments to ensure risk controls are properly implemented
- Develop and deliver compliance training materials to staff
- Track and manage compliance-related action items and remediation efforts
- Conduct periodic risk assessments for business units and processes
- Review transaction monitoring systems for effectiveness and accuracy
- Assist in the development and enhancement of compliance policies and procedures
- Investigate compliance incidents and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure adherence to anti-money laundering (AML) standards
- Monitor changes in applicable laws and advise on operational impact
- Prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies
- Support enterprise-wide risk management initiatives
- Evaluate third-party vendor compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
- Maintain compliance tracking systems and documentation repositories
- Participate in internal control testing and process validation
- Escalate critical compliance issues to appropriate stakeholders
- Contribute to the improvement of risk reporting frameworks
Nice to Have
- Certification in compliance or risk, such as CRCM or CAMS
- Experience in higher education or campus card systems
- Familiarity with SOC compliance standards
- Background in information security or data privacy regulations
- Project management experience in compliance initiatives
