MSA Professional Services was looking for a Compensation & Benefits Analyst

About the Role

The analyst will evaluate compensation structures, conduct benefits assessments, and provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making in human resources.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze salary data to ensure competitive positioning
  • Support the administration of health, retirement, and paid time off programs
  • Prepare reports for internal and external compensation surveys
  • Assist in the annual review of job classifications and pay bands
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment regulations affecting pay and benefits
  • Collaborate with HR teams to implement compensation initiatives
  • Conduct data validation to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Monitor benefits enrollment trends and employee utilization
  • Develop dashboards to track key compensation metrics
  • Assist in preparing materials for executive compensation reviews
  • Evaluate equity and incentive plans for fairness and effectiveness
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay and benefits
  • Support open enrollment processes with clear communication materials
  • Identify opportunities to improve benefits offerings
  • Partner with third-party vendors on benefits administration
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee data
  • Use HRIS systems to manage compensation records
  • Perform ad hoc analyses for special projects
  • Stay current with industry trends in total rewards

Nice to Have

  • Certification in compensation or HR (e.g., CCP, PHR)
  • Experience in professional services or consulting firms
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups
  • Familiarity with Workday or similar HR systems
  • Background in statistical analysis or modeling
