About the Role
Provide individualized support to help people with disabilities gain and maintain meaningful employment in community-based settings.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals in identifying job interests and career goals
- Develop job opportunities through outreach to local employers
- Offer on-the-job training and coaching to support skill development
- Monitor progress and adjust support plans as needed
- Collaborate with job seekers to build resumes and practice interview techniques
- Facilitate transportation to worksites when necessary
- Maintain regular contact with employers to ensure job retention
- Document participant progress and service delivery accurately
- Support individuals in understanding workplace expectations
- Promote independence and self-advocacy in employment settings
- Attend team meetings to coordinate service delivery
- Follow safety and confidentiality protocols at all times
- Assist with job matching based on skills and preferences
- Respond to employment-related challenges promptly
- Encourage participation in community work environments
- Provide feedback to supervisors on program effectiveness
- Engage in ongoing training to improve service quality
- Support crisis prevention and de-escalation when needed
- Uphold program values of dignity, respect, and inclusion
- Assist with data entry and reporting requirements
- Participate in person-centered planning meetings
- Help individuals transition from facility-based programs to community jobs
- Promote long-term job retention through follow-along support
- Coordinate with external agencies as needed
- Adhere to organizational policies and state regulations
Compensation
Competitive hourly wage based on experience
Work Arrangement
Full-time, daytime hours with some flexibility required
