Cytech Mobile, a company with 20+ years of experience in mobile technology, is looking for a Community Manager - Open Source Software to lead the change in building, engaging, and supporting a global developer and user community. You will be the main point of contact and help foster an inclusive, supportive atmosphere.
What You'll Do
- Be the main point of contact for the OSS community, answering questions, encouraging discussion, and fostering an inclusive, supportive atmosphere.
- Launch and manage community initiatives like forums and newsletters.
- Interact with users across platforms such as Discord, Reddit, forums, and social media.
- Develop and schedule content such as developer diaries, updates, user spotlights, and rewards.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align content and ensure brand consistency.
- Respond promptly and professionally to community comments and feedback.
- Plan and host online and offline events, such as beta tests, Q&As with developers, competitions, and meetups.
- Gather and report community feedback and engagement metrics.
- Provide insights to the development team and report user needs internally.
- Monitor sentiment and trends across channels.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience as a Community Manager.
- Proven success growing and managing online communities.
- Deep understanding of online communities, culture and trends.
- Familiarity with Open Source Software culture and models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Hands-on experience with tools like Discord, Github, Hootsuite, and analytics platforms.
- Content creation skills, including basic graphic design, video editing, or copywriting.
- Must be able to work for a Greek Company - Owns a Greek VAT number.
- Military service completed.
Nice to Have
- Experience as a Community Manager ideally in tech or OSS.
- Direct experience managing an OSS community.
- Experience with software development (coding, testing, design etc).
